Our new outdoor shooting complex is situated in Kulkami on 503 hectares of beautiful, relaxing Mallee countryside. It's a visit you will be talking about for a while.
With our licenced and professional instructors on site, we aim to make your visit safe but also a lot of fun.
Anyone from the age of 10 years old with a parent or legal guardian can participate. No matter if you are new to shooting, ticking off your bucket list or have shot before, you will have a blast.
Due to the amount of rounds you will be shooting and different caliber firearms, we would recommend that you give yourself at least 1 - 3 hours to complete the session.

With our expert trainers we will try to have you shooting an 11" target at 400 meters by the end of your session.

What age can you shoot from?
As we are a licenced commercial shooting range, the legal minimum age is 10 years old accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Our instructors are used to dealing with young people and are all appropriately police checked for working with young people.
Is it safe to shoot a rifle?
Shooting is actually one of the safest sports in Australia due to the control and regulations in place.
Will the rifle hurt me, when I shoot?
Each person is different with recoil, our instructors will show you the correct way of holding and supporting your firearm whilst shooting. Please ensure you follow all instructions by our instructors as this will keep you safe.
I am scared but still want to try shooting.
Don't worry this is not the first time we have dealt with this. We are skilled in dealing with nervous people. 99% of the time it is mind over matter and once the first shots are taken the adrenaline starts pumping and your focus shifts onto hitting the target.
What does the cost cover?
The cost of the packages covers- use of protective equipment, firearms, scopes, ammunition and your instructors time.

Over the years we have introduced thousands of people into shooting. The first step is the licence application, our staff will walk you through the process.
We have our own accredited SAPOL approved instructors who will train you and issue the authorisation for your licence to be granted to SAPOL. Then you just simply join The Gunnery Shooting Club and you are good to go. Our instructors can train people for A1 (Club Use - Rimfire & Shotgun), B1 (Club Use - Centerfire) & H1 (Club Use - Handgun)

A hit is defined within 3mm of the edge of the target - Unlicenced people only.
Do you tink you are good enough to hit a target that is 5.68 inch high x 2.82 inch wide at 400 meters using a scoped 223?
At the end of the session you will be given an option to have 2 rounds per person to see if you can.
If you do manage to hit the target with the 2 shots then we will give you a $200 voucher to use towards your next shoot or even towards your training, because if you have hit that size target you should be shooting in competitions.
